BOOK : "DOCTOR AT SEA" - Richard Gordon 

Doctor at sea is a hilarious and humourous fictional novel. 

"Marriage is an obligation for a young doctor, as celibacy for a priest". Richard Gordon is a young man who is employed as an assistant in general practise. 

Richard, sees marriage as an obligatory part in his life and thus he has decided to escape himself from it. So, he held up signing a contract as a ship's doctor. This will make him to stay away from his unwanted marriage life for a period of time.

He tires to manage himself doing his work, in a tumbledown and dilapidated ship like LOTUS. 

This is a tale of nautical diseases and misadventures of sea. But, Richard survives almost and manages, though the life that was stretching before him was not as much as he dreamt of, when he finished his medical.

Yet he was excited in his sea voyage, where he happens to face one or two cases and he was also embroiled in mysterious events.

This novel Doctor at sea has a suspense, what on the earth has happened to the previous doctor? It though entertains the readers, and sows the interest to read more. 

It discloses how the seafaring experience will be!
